Ventura Tsunami- Thanks God No Major Losses is the report of the day as Tsunami waves hit Ventura, California.

Ventura County California administration and its residents has now taken a sigh of relief as Tsunami has hit the coastal area and tension of waiting for the waves to reach the county is over for the time although authorities have had informed that area is not yet out of danger for few more hours.

The Chile earthquake of 8.8-magnitude did not tremor only the country but the whole Pacific Ocean and around 50 nations across the Pacific came under Tsunami warnings including Russia and Philippines.

An 8.8-magnitude earthquake was the powerful one after 1960, when Chile faced a 9.6 magnitude earthquake.

The Chilean earthquake that rattled Santiago has claimed about 200 lives until now. It must be kept in mind that according to authorities a Tsunami might be dangerous after many hours of its first hitting the area and it is not essential that only initial wave would be the largest. A larger wave may follow the smaller ones.

The authorities have given the center point of the emergence of Tsunami in the pacific and it has issued warnings of different levels to certain countries with the estimated time of arrival of the Tsunami waves but they have not indicated the expected height of the waves.

The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be 36.1 Latitude South, 72.6 Longitude W with 8.8 at Richer Scale at 0634 UTC
