Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation have announced a donation of $10 billion over the next 10 years to research for the new vaccines to save the children from disease in the coming decade. This vaccine will be provided to poor countries all over the world. In his address to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Bill Gates said that Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation “must make this the decade of vaccines” by its forceful efforts.
Bill Gates, the US billionaire and the co-founder of Microsoft, world’s biggest computer company has subscribed to contribute world’s largest donation for vaccine for the new generation of most miserable countries around the world. This vaccine that will be provided in the next decade will definitely save the lives of millions of children.
Bill Gates wife Melinda Gates, who is the co-founder and co-chair of Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and a well–known American philanthropist, said vaccines have a far-fetched impact on children’s lives so it is the first priority of the Gates Foundation to fulfill the need of vaccine around the world. The couple showed their interest for vaccine availability in the next decade during a press conference in the annual meeting of World Economic Forum.
Both Bill and Melinda were eager to help developing countries and they also were hopeful that government and the private sectors will also make their efforts to reduce the child mortality by sure availability of vaccine. Recently about 79% of children receive recommended doses of DTP while this big donation will increase this percentage to almost 90%.
