About half a year ago, Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind was considered the best anthem of the city by the New Yorkers. ‘Granite State of Mind’ is released about half an year after the release of Jay-Z’s song and is considered the best ode to New Hampshire, a U.S. state. ‘Granite State of Mind’ is performed by a comedy group ‘The Super Secret Project’ and has become an instant hit, at least on YouTube. Seeing its popularity, we should not be surprised if ‘Granite State of Mind’ gives New Hampshire’s other classic anthem a run for money.

‘Granite State of Mind’ was released on YouTube on Wednesday and in just two days it has been viewed 200,000 times and the number of viewers is increasing each hour.

‘Granite State of Mind’ is a musical video about several unique social and cultural features of New Hampshire. Filmed in New Hampshire, ‘Granite State of Mind’ is a parody of ‘Empire State of Mind’ and presents tribute to this U.S. state. ‘Granite State of Mind’ boasts about the maple syrup and the ‘live free or die’ motto, the various seasons of the weather as well as the no sales tax policy of the state.

Christian Wisecarver of New Hampshire has written the lyrics of the song and stars in it too. Wisecarver has worked for about a month to make the song.

The group who produced ‘Granite State of Mind’ may not be able to make any money from the video but is surely enjoying the fame they are receiving.
