Blitzen Trapper

Bonnaroo Music and Art Festival have announced its lineup for the year 2010 and Blitzen Trapper is the name among the participants to be highlighted in upcoming musical acts. Blitzen Trapper is a folk band and belongs to Portland, Oregon and is formed on experimental basis. The band consists of total 6 members Eric Earley, the lead vocalist and guitarist, Erik Menteer, plays guitar and keyboard, bassist Michael VanPelt, Brian Adrian Koch is drummer, Marty Marquis is also a singer and guitarist and Drew Laughery plays keyboard.

The band is formed ten years ago in 2000 and has three self-released albums on its record. Their first album was released with the same name Blitzen Trapper in 2003. Field Rexx was their second album released in 2004. The third album of the band released in 2007 with the title “Wild Mountain Nation” was outstanding and album received critically acclaimed praise for such an exceptional presentation while the song “Wild Mountain Nation” was ranked 98 among the best 100 songs on the Rolling Stone’s list of best songs for the year 2007.

The release of Furr in 2008 was a beautiful and eminent addition in the fame and recognition of this rock band. This album was ranked 13 among the best albums on the Rolling Stone. The title song from this album was presented in one of the episode of an American action comedy named Chuck.

Now this experimental band is ready to rock on the Bonnaroo Music and Art Festival and they have an intention to make a marvelous performance in this upcoming music festival.
