Steve Novak replaces Jim Paquette at Boston College as Director for Athletic; Gene DeFiippo announces that Steve is promoted to the position of Assistant Athletics Director. Interestingly Jim Paquette was announced the Director of Athletics in February at Loyola University of Maryland.
Gene Filippo, has declared that Steve Novak is an inspiring man and he has had shown tremendous professional behavior in their Athletics Development Office. He further added that he consider themselves fortunate for having a right person for this important position within their department.
On the other hand, Steve Novak has expressed his gratification for being showered with such a blessed opportunity to continue his services to Boston College in advancing its mission of supporting its student athletes.
Steve Novak joined Boston College in 2001 as an intern. Later in the year he was taken in as Development Assistant then as Assistant that followed his promotion to Associate Director of Development.
Steve Novak is a native of North Plainfield- New Jersey. He graduated from Drew University and acquired his MS in Sports Management from UMass-Amherst in 2001.
Steve Novak and his wife Justine live in Quincy.
