New Delhi, India — Pakistan Cricket team captain Shahid Afridi denies derogatory  comments saying his comments were taken out of the context, when he said the hearts of Indian’s are not large enough today on Tuesday April 5, 2011.

Shahid Afridi praised Pakistan’s media for being lot better than Indian media in a television show aired in Pakistan on Sunday and also said that Pakistani’s hearts are bigger and clean than Indian’s.

A number of fans in India were shocked after hearing the comments, after he praised the efforts of Indian’s during Cricket World Cup 2011 for promoting harmony between the two arch rivals.

Talking to the NDTV India Shahid Afridi said, he enjoyed his cricket in India and will always enjoy it and he loves Indian people.

He said his comments should not be taken negatively.

He said he always loved Indian fans and have an affectionate corner in his heart for Indian fans.

Afridi requested the media not to play a negative role and waste time on such trivial issues.

He said that media always make a big deal out of small issues, which is very shameful.

Afridia said ‘I have always done my bit to improve Indo-Pak ties but sometimes you say something and it is interpreted the other way.

“I have been quoted out of context.”
