According to the recent news Scott Van Pelt and the producer of the “Sports Center” have been suspended. It looks like a bad day for the Sports Network or for the employees I guess. In the series of these suspensions Tony Kornheiser was the first one.
ESPN Network suspended Tony Kornheiser for making a bad comment about the dressing of Hannah Storm last week and recently Scott Van Pelt along with “Sports Center” producers has been suspended after interviewing a prankster instead of Brian Westbrook.
It has been reported that the Philadelphia Eagles veteran running back Brian Westbrook has been released and the news was so exclusive that Scott van Pelt could see a potential exclusive on-air interview, when Westbrook agreed to talk with him.
The only problem with this exclusive interview was that it was not Brian Westbrook, who was interviewed by the Scott Van Pelt on “Sports Center”, instead it was a prankster Howard Stern, who is famous for making fool out of people, by making prank calls.
This is the news so far we know. Here is a video of Scott Van Pelt interviewing fake Brian Westbrook on-air.
I am not sure if this video gave us any clue if it was really Brian Westbrook or Howard Stern. It would be fair to leave it on our readers to listen to the call and decide on their own.
We will keep you posted with the updates as soon as we hear any further news about this issue.
