Finally, Chicago Bulls decided to go for a deal with Ronnie Brewer, unrestricted free shooting guard. The agent of Ronnie Brewer told that it’s a $12.5 million deal for three years.
25 year old Ronnie Brewer started his last season with Utah before moving on to play for Memphis Grizzlies. He suffered a hamstring injury in the sixth game. He only managed to play five games for the Memphis.
Ronnie Brewer’s agent stated that Chicago Bulls is the fittest team for the Brewer to play with. He also told that Brewer decided to play for Bulls leaving several teams behind. He was offered by different teams including Celtics. While playing with Bulls, Brewer would be having the chance to start the season in a great way. The player is also excited about playing with Carlos Boozer, Derrick Rose and Kyle Korver, his former teammates.
Thomas further told that the reason of Brewer’s selection is talent and capability. He could be playing a role of Point Forward for the Bulls. He said Gar Forman picked Ronnie Brower due to his strong defensive skills.
In the last season, Ronnie Brewer averaged three rebounds and nine points.
Chicago Bulls turned their attention towards Ronnie Brewer after Orlando Magic announced that they are ready to match the Bulls offer sheet to JJ Riddick.
