Lahore, Pakistan — The Pakistan Cricket team today on Thursday April 14, 2011 departed for Caribbean to take on West Indies.
Intikhab Alam the manager of the Pakistan Cricket team said, he is hopeful that the young played inducted in the squard would perform to international merit during the Caribbean series.
Shahid Afridi will be leading the Pakistan Cricket team in One Day International ‘ODI’ matches, while MMisbah-UL-Haq would perform the duties of test captain in the team.
Pakistan will play a warm-up match on April 18, 2011, prior taking the West Indies team formally on April 21, 2011.
On the other hand West Indies selectors have also announced the 13-member squared for the first two ODI’s against Pakistan.
In the series Pakistan will play 5 ODI matches against West Indies, in addition to on T20.
Pakistan will start their two test match series against the West Indies on April 21, 2011 in St. Lucia.
While Pakistan cricket board is hopeful to see better performance from the new comers, the West Indies selectors share the same thought.
