LSU Football team managed a 30-24 victory over Tar Heels on Saturday night and No.21 ranked LSU almost pulled it out after 20 at the halftime but Tar Heels presented more friction than was expected by everyone in the wake of NCAA lurking around and some of North Carolina players sitting outside the court, North Carolina was in most improbable position.

But they displayed a pretty fight against LSU in the absence of their stars and they were eventually away from the win by a 6 yard line, a TD and an extra point.

North Carolina coach Butch Davis however was a proud man on Saturday night who declared that he can not prouder than today for this group of kids who showed their muscles against LSU.

Butch further added that they did not play well in the first half and first half was full of their mistakes but he is proud of his kids’ ability to comeback in the game as it defines your character.

Patrick Peterson was the man who led LSU to a 30-10 lead at the break with his 257 yards that include an 87 yard TD and it was not surprising in the wake of Tar Heels competing without their 13 key players because of NCAA investigations about relationship with agents and academic violations.

Despite the fact that game was won by LSU, North Carolina made their game against all odds and they managed to score tw0 TDs in the second half and two shots at the win after recovering from their fumble start.
