On the other hand Jacksonville State has beaten an FBS team for the first time since they beat Arkansas State in 2001. Jacksonville State is now 4-13 against FBS teams.

Jacksonville State was ranked 17th in the FCS Coaches’ Poll while it finished 16th in the last season.
