Why a happy and successful Thomas Magill attempted suicide?

22-year-old Thomas Magill attempted a suicide by jumping from the 39th floor of his former apartment but survived it as he fell down on the back window of a car which was parked in the street. The current owner of the apartment says that he cannot imagine anyone surviving after falling from this height. Thomas Magill fell from a 440 feet high building with 100 mph before hitting the car. He fell on the car with a boom and broken glasses were spread in every direction. He was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital in a critical condition where surprisingly he started recovering soon after initial treatment. Doctors have performed several surgical operations on Magill and have inserted rods in his lower limb. Magill fell feet-first and his lower limbs have received several injuries.

Police found the apartment open and the first reports say that Magill went through the living room to reach the balcony from where he plunged down. Detectives say they have not found any suicide note from Thomas Magill and don’t know why he decided to take his life. Thomas Magill was brought up in Staten Island and is Fordham University graduate. Magill is a professional actor and has recently performed in an Off-Off Broadway production. He was also working in a club as a salesman. His friends tell that Thomas Magill is a happy, fun-loving person and a suicide attempt seems just out of his nature. There are still no answers as to why a young, happy man attempted to take his own life.
