Rima Fakih, the ravishingly heart-arresting Miss Michigan, won the title of Miss USA 2010 on Sunday, May 16th beating the fifty beauties in the beauty pageant held at Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas.
The very gorgeous Rima Fakih happens to be the first Arab-American Muslim to be named Miss USA. The contest was held at the lavish location of Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas where Rima emerged as the winner beating out fifty other sizzling beauties in the pageant to fetch the crown for herself. Miss Oklahoma, Morgan Elizabeth Woorlard was named the runner-up. The judges’ panel included NBA star Carmelo Anthony and Olympic Figure Skater Johny Weir.
Fakih, the 24 years beauty queen will now represent the USA in the upcoming Miss Universe contest.
Born on October 2nd 1986, Rima Fakih won the title of Miss Michigan on September 19th 2009. Rima is said to be the first Miss Michigan to be crowned the Miss USA title after Kenya Moore, who won Miss USA in 1993. Currently Fakih is living in Deaborn, Michigan. Although the stunning beauty was born in Lebanon, but she grew up in Queens, New York. In 2003, her family shifted to Dearborn, Michigan. A graduate in economics and business management from University of Michigan, Rima Fakih is intended to get a degree in law as well.
Miss Universe pageant is due to take place later this year. To grab this title, Rima Fakih seems to be much enthusiastic and has pulled her socks up. Everything is geared up and the training would happen with the beauty queen soon so that she could win the title of Miss Universe for the country. Expectations are high, and she would be living up to them for sure.
