Corey Haim, one of the two Coreys in the film ‘The Lost Boys’, was pronounced dead yesterday after being taken to a medical center in California.
The Providence St. Joseph Medical Center, Burbank, California said that the Haim’s death seemed to be an accidental one and reason might have been an overdose of drug. The police officials however didn’t find any drug on the crime scene but have ruled out the death as a suicide.
Haim was born on December 23, 1971 in Toronto, Canada. The Canadian actor was known in Hollywood as a teen idol. He stared in a number of films including The Lost Boys, Lucas Murphy’s romance, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream.
He is most famous for A&E’s reality series The Two Coreys. The Two Coreys featured Corey Haim along with Corey Feldman as the two Coreys. The series was aired from July 2007 to august 2008.
Earlier the two Coreys also starred together in the 1987 film The Lost Boys. The movie was a horror flick and was about two boys who move from Arizona to California but have to fight their way through a group of teenage vampires if they are to survive in their new home. The movie was directed by Joel Schumacher and the title was inspired from J.M Barrie’s tales of Peter Pan.
The film was followed by a 2008 sequel called Lost Boys: The Tribe while another sequel is expected to hit the cinemas this year titled Lost Boys: The Thirst.
