Six years old Manhattan girl, Jasmina Anema who was fighting against Leukemia, died last night. She was admitted in the Langone Medical Centre for her deteriorated health condition. She was battling for her life for almost a year. Her death news was confirmed by her mother Thea Anema on 27 Jan 2010 Wednesday night.

She won the hearts of millions of Americans who want to become bone marrow donors to save the life of this valiant girl. Her courage and determination in such a young age inspired even a number of celebrities like Rihanna and Kelly Rowland.

One year ago, in the month of January it was revealed that she is suffering from a kind of cancer, Leukemia. Before knowing about her disease, she was leading a normal life. After country wide advertisement, thousands of people offered to donate the bone marrow and lastly they found one put of innumerable, perfectly matched with Jasmina Anema and she underwent a surgical operation in august 2009. The operation proved successful but an agonizing truth revealed from the biopsy report that the cancer is growing again.

Jasmina Anema who was suffering from dreadful disease leukemia for the last one year was suddenly suffered by fever and shortness of breath. She was immediately transferred to hospital on Monday morning where she was diagnosed with pneumonia in her lungs. After few hours her condition started to grow worst quickly. After examining her critical condition, doctors shifted her to ICU but it was going to be worsening with the passage of time. Both of her lungs filled with fluid and her antibiotics stopped to work at all; finally she lost her battle against several diseases.

Jasmina was a cute girl and was a big fan of Rihanna and Rihanna made her best efforts to save the life of six years old Jasmina even President Barak Obama invited her to visit the white house. Kelly Rowland was also among those who offered and provided their moral and financial support to Jasmina but she lost the battle. Her mother is grieved and heartbroken for her death and we all are also feeling distressed.
