A former WOFL reporter and WNDU-TV anchor, Erin Logan, was arrested early morning yesterday after being involved in a dispute in Mishawaka.
Erin Logan was arrested on multiple charges and was accused of public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. She had been working for WNDU since 2007.
Logan was arrested at 2:30 am from the 5500 block of Zappia Drive after police was called from the home.
The police officials say that they were called when a heated argument developed between the former NFL and Notre Dame Player Christopher Zorich and Logan. According to the police it was Zorich, who is now a manager of student welfare and development at Notre Dame, who called in the police.
The officers on arriving tried to calm down both the individuals and finally decided to take Logan home. Logan straightforwardly refused to leave and threatened to ring up Police Assistant Chief Mike Samp to claim that her case was not being justly handled. She even threatened the police officers jobs.
In a report submitted against Logan, Officer Jennifer Wilson claimed that Logan was asked to ride back home but once she sat in the car she began to yell.
Wilson then said that Logan was then asked to step out as she would then be arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct. Logan once again acted stubbornly and lifted her feet towards Wilson.
Logan was then forcefully pulled out of the car and was then arrested and taken to Joseph County Jail. Logan tested 0.11 in blood-alcohol test. She was later released but the bad news is she would have to find a new source of income as she was fired by WNDU over the incident.
