In the wake of ME uprising that has threatened its existence and when Al-Qaeda is struggling for its relevance, Al-Qaeda has announced that Osama Bin Laden’s deputy has taken control of the group.

Ayman al-Zawahri who is a trained doctor and surgeon by profession, brought with him ideological fire, tactical movement and organizational cunning to the group which is realized at the verge of decentralization following its expulsion in Afghanistan.

Al-Qaeda has made its announcement more than six weeks after the killing of their prime leader Osama Bin Laden by us forces who killed Osama Bin Laden at his home in Pakistan on May 2.

“The general command of al-Qaida, after completing consultations, decided that the sheik doctor Abu Mohammed Ayman al-Zawahri take the responsibility and be in charge of the group,” said a statement purportedly by al-Qaida posted on militant websites and several of its affiliate groups.
