World Clock Is Ticking
World Clock is divided into three sections and every section has its own importance. In this section you may find cities of the world alphabetically listed against their current time with respect to world clock. There are options of sorting by country, by city and even by continent.
The cities or countries shown with mark (*) are observing the Day Light Saving Time so time displayed against these countries should be taken as DST.
UTC or Universal Time Coordinated is the main clock hence it is called the world clock and rest of the world’s time is given accordingly by adding or subtracting to this time in accordance with the time zone.
World Clock also gives information about time zones and currently we have 25 time zones in the world (By the way I have come to know this fact today)
The world clock was established in November 1995 and it got an instant popularity and there were millions of viewers daily at world clock. The world clock was moved to newer site in 1998. Interestingly world clock will celebrate its 15th birth day in November 2010.
The world clock has given you the ease of finding whether it would be appropriate to call someone abroad as it might be the case that when you are in the peak of your day some one in the world would be in peak of his or night.
The world clock has given me opportunity to find out when I should call some of my DEAR friends and I am surely going to give it a try.
