The Mongolian Death Worm is a worm which is found in Gobi Desert in Mongolia. The natives of Mongolia call it allghoi khorkhoi which means “the worm of Intestine”. It is due to the fact that it resembles a cow’s intestine.
Mongolian Death worm is red in color and, in some cases, has black spots. It has sharp projections at both sides. They are fat and bulky and have the length from 2 to 5 feet. The Mongolian Death worm is found in Southern Gobi Desert in Mongolia.
The first to mention this creature in his book is Professor Roy Chapman Andrews who described it in his book On the Trial of Ancient Man which was published in 1926. He was a Paleontologist but disbelieved the tales and myths of Mongolian officials. He told that all the officials had the firm belief in the existence of the death worm despite none of them had seen any of them.
The death worm is said to have the ability to spray toxic liquid that kills the victim at once. It is also said that the death worm had the capability to kill its victim from a long distance with the help of its electric charge. But there are many people who claim to have seen it from their own eyes including a head of state of Mongolia. It is said the beast sleeps in hibernation the whole year except in June and July when it comes out. The Mongolians believe if somebody touches the body of the death worm, he at once dies.
