St Patrick S Day 2010: Where Is Lent
Saint Patrick’s Day is Irish public holiday that is celebrated in the Island of Ireland both Northern and Republic Ireland. The celebration was begun as a Christian holiday but gained the official status during 1600 and lastly it became a festival portraying the Ireland culture.
Irish immigrants celebrate the day to honor one of their patron saints in countries like Great Britain, United States and Canada along with many other countries having Irish immigrants.
To celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day with full fervor you must wear green to give it a touch of Irish colors. Corned beef and cabbage or Irish stew is second in the requisites of celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day. You must not forget to add Potato to your feast dishes as Humble Potato is associated with Ireland.
Wait for the five day festivities to begin in Dublin on Saint Patrick’s Day or simply visit the areas in United States that have a huge number of Irish-American population such as New York, Boston and Chicago of course.
