Michael J. Fox is returning to the television as a guest star on ‘The Good Wife’. ‘The Good Wife’ is yet another guest spot for Michael J. Fox who took partial retirement from the acting field in 2001 when the symptoms of his disease worsened.

According to the details, Michael J. Fox will portray Simon Canning – a shrewd litigator who gets into a legal battle with Alicia Florick (portrayed by Margulies) in a law suit. His character, Simon Canning, is willing to use anything in the court to gather the sympathy of the pharmaceutical company client.

The producers of ‘The Good Wife’ released the details of Michael J. Fox’s character in a press release and paid their thanks to the actor. Robert and Michelle King, the show creators, said that they are very thankful to Michael J. Fox for accepting the role.

The producers also said that Fox’s intelligence and comic skills makes him an excellent actor to portray this role. The episode is part of the second season of ‘The Good Wife’ which will premiere on September 28.

Michael J. Fox is a Canadian-American actor who is best known for portraying Alex P. Keaton in the much-popular series Family Ties. Fox has received multiple Emmys and Golden Globes for his acting credits. He is suffering with Parkinson’s disease and disclosed his medical condition to the public in year 1998.

In 2000, Michael J. Fox took semi retirement from his acting career after his medical condition worsened. Recently, he has appeared in several TV projects as a guest star.
