Kayla Martell is the newly crowned Miss Delaware and openly says that ‘Bald is Beautiful’. Kayla has been suffering from Alopecia Areata, a disease that leads the people to hair loss, and due to this she has lost her hair but this does not lessen her confident level to move ahead in life for success.

According to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, almost 4.7 million Americans suffer from this disease. And now after seeing this valiant girl’s attitude towards progress, these 4.7 million Americans would surely get a new fanaticism in their life to achieve their unattainable goals.

At the beauty contest, Kayla Martell was wearing a blond wig. Martell defeated all the 15 contestants and emerged the triumphant with the title of Miss Delaware. Kayla Martell has taken part in this beauty pageant five times and previously she could not make it till the final for four times and fifth time (this time around), Kayla bagged the crown. The happiness cuddled her from all around, the moment she was declared the winner.

On CBS’s The Early Show, Kayla Martell shared her thoughts candidly, “I knew that I had to be on Miss America’s stage, and I had to get there somehow. I think I can be a better Miss Delaware and a better Miss America by taking the wig off.”

She has become an example of many who simply loss the heart when in disease or in trouble. Kayla Martell has appeared as a strong girl who just throws the disease far behind to move further in life.
