Grace Slick was a famed U.S singer and songwriter of her time. Born on October 30th 1939 in Evanston, Illinois, Grace happened to be one of the lead vocalists of the rock groups ‘The Great Society’, ‘Jefferson Airplane’, ‘Jefferson Starship’ and ‘Starship’. She had been the solo artist for almost three decades from mid 1960s to the mid 1990s.
In 1960s psychedelic rock genre, Grace Slick proved herself a key figure. She is still famous for her witty lyrics and electrifying vocals.
Grace Slick attended Palo Alto Senior High School before stepping into Castilleja High School. She then enrolled herself in Finch College in New York. Slick then attended University of Miami.
Amidst her musical career, Slick was a member of several rock bands including The Great Society, Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Airplane’s successor bands.
