Man Shot Near Nyc School Pronounced Dead

It has been reported that the man shot near NYC school yesterday on Monday on 8th Mar, 2010 pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to New York police department a Brooklyn cop shot a man fatally after he was seen waving a fake handgun near a New York City School.

NYPD said that they acted after receiving a 911 call. According to 911 call a man was seen with a handgun near a New York City elementary school. The call was made by a parent present there to pick the kids.

Police said they had no idea that the man was holding a fake gun until they fatally shot him.

Police said the 22-year-old man, who was shot by the cops on the street of the elementary school pointed the fake gun towards the cops upon their arrival on the scene when they tried to confront him.

According to the reports a uniformed officer with the Brooklyn police department shot the young individual three times during the confrontation.

Details show that the police officers responded to the 911 call in the afternoon at around 3:00 P.M and say a man holding a silver handgun in the street. The first tried to confront the man, but when he pointed the gun toward the cops, one of the responding officers shot the man three times.
He was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead after reaching the hospital.

The 22-year-old man was later identified as George D’Amoto Jr. by the police department.

It looks like a suicide by cops apparently, what are your thoughts.
