For Randy Jackson it was a close call. We have learned that Randy Jackson, who is the only remaining judge of “American Idol”, was about to lose his job as judge.

Sources close to the producers of “American Idol” told that serious talks to completely sweep the judge’s panel were underway, but “American Idol” administration wants to keep a link to the original judge’s panel and that’s the only reason Randy Jackson kept his job on the show.

It really was a close call for Randy Jackson, wasn’t it?

Just yesterday we reported that Ellen DeGeneres left the American Idol show after just one season, while Kara DioGuardi has been fired from the judge’s panel and Simon Cowell already left the show in the previous season to pursue “The X Factor”, so Randy is the only one remains with the show.
