The “American Idol” season 9 ended with Lee DeWyze win and the search for the season 10 constants’ is ON. (But there is a catch). The producers, directors and judges are not only searching for season 10 constants, but for a new judge as well, because Ellen DeGeneres bailing out on the “American Idol” season 10.

At first it was Paula Adbul, who left the show and then Simon Cowell, making producers of the talent show “American Idol” searched for the replacement of Simon Cowell’s for months.

This time it is Ellen DeGeneres just after one season and producers are again left with another high-profile judge chair to fill for the forthcoming season.

The announcement came from Ellen DeGeneres and the Fox TV Network about the departure of “American Idol” judge just yesterday on Thursday 29th July, 2010.

Ellen DeGeneres in her statement said that, she told the producers of the show couple of months ago that she did not feel like the right fit for the show. She further added that, she told them that she will not leave them in a bind and keep on doing the show until they figure out what they want to do with the judge’s panel in future.

Ellen DeGeneres blamed her heavy work schedule for her decision, but also said that although she love discovering nurturing and supporting new and young talent, it is hard for her to judge people and it hurt their feelings most of the time.

The auditions for the next “American Idol” season 10 started in Nashville this month. The news season will be aired next year in January.
