Maurice Clarett, the former American football player is heading back to the same school to complete his studies after spending almost four years in prison. Maurice Clarett left Ohio State University after his freshman year and then he was caught and sent behind the bars.
Ohio State University has also confirmed that permission for enrolment has been granted to the former player, Maurice Clarett and will resume his studies from summer.
Jim Lynch, the director of media relationships for Ohio State has told that Maurice Clarett has been permitted re-entry into the University of Ohio State. Maurice Clarett has been reviewed by the Human Ecology and College of Education before allowing him to resume his studies in Ohio State University.
Maurice Clarett has stated that it’s a great feeling to be back to my educational institution with a huge support and encouragement. He further stated that I am very much positive and looking forward to join the school and students again and I don’t want to be a part of nuisance and distraction to the students, campus or the football team.
Maurice Clarett was arrested in 2006 for armed robbery. He misbehaved with the Police during his arrest and then he was charged with carrying deadly weapon and for his involvement in armed robbery. He was sentenced to seven year in prison but was released in April 2010.
