A source close to Jessica Simpson tells that The Hurt Locker actor, Jeremy Renner who had fling with Simpson earlier in Spring, treated her badly and was a ’dirtbag’ to her during and after their small affair.

Reportedly, Jessica Simpson also paid a visit to Jeremy Renner’s house but the meeting turned out to be very awkward as Renner had already moved on with a new woman. Since Jessica has moved on with Eric Johnsons too, I guess the two are even now.

Jeremy Renner is quite popular with the Hollywood media people for his new work-related commitments as well as controversial affairs. Recently, Carol Channing dished about Renner’s mean attitude towards Ian Drew, senior editor of Us Weekly.

Jeremy Renner is still benefitting from the heat his role in The Hurt Locker generated, as new and bigger film projects are coming his way. Reportedly, Jeremy Renner will be playing the role of Hawkeye in Joss Whedon’s new film ‘The Avengers’. The film is written and directed by Whedon himself. In a statement about his new film, Whedon said that he’s excited to see Jeremy Renner on board. The rest of the cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, and Chris Hemsworth.

Prior to his appearance in The Hurt Locker, Jeremy Renner had mostly performed supporting roles only. Though he did film projects throughout the 2000s, it wasn’t until the release of Hurt Locker that Renner received major publicity. Jeremy Renner was nominated for Oscar Award in the Best Actor catagory for his role in The Hurt Locker.
