One of the most inspiring women in the history of United States history Amelia Earhart’s Statue is to be added at the U.S Capital Dr. Lynette Long, president of EVE said. The announcement has been made recently by the EVE.
According to the Washington Post website, voting to replace 19th century politicians with the statues of Amelia Earhart and Dwight D. Eisenhower took place in 1999. The Dwight D. Eisenhower statue was installed at the United States Capital in 2003, but Atchison Town, the home town of Amelia Earhart did not provided sufficient funds for the project, hence the project has been delayed.
Equal Visibility Everywhere (EVE) has urged and lobbied for Amelia Earhart’s statue to be installed at the U.S Capital. The EVE group works to boast more women in National Art history.
