The latest from the San Francisco News is that a natural gas pipeline explosion has occurred in the area resulting in one killing and torched more than 50 buildings in a San Francisco suburb.
According to the San Francisco news sources, minimum 25 people got injured by this blast. The flames emerging from this explosion were visible several miles away from the San Francisco International Airport.
A California Emergency Management Agency’s assistant secretary told the KTLA TV, “We have confirmed that there are 53 structures, those are mostly homes, that were lost, about 120 damaged.”
The San Francisco news says that the ones who got injured in this explosion have been taken to the hospitals with special burn treatment units. The gas line belongs to the northern California utility Pacific Gas & Electric Co.
The company issued its statement on this hazardous incident, “Though a cause has yet to be determined, we know that a PG&E transmission line was ruptured. If it is ultimately determined that we were responsible for the cause of the incident, we will take accountability.”
People of the area said that they thought this blast occurred as a result of some earthquake or a plane crash.
