Lance Kerwin, former television child star found guilty to a theft charge has been ordered to be placed on probation for five years. He was found guilty of second degree theft charges.

Lance Kerwin was most famous for his role back in 1977-78 Season, in “James at 15”. He was charged with the second degree theft last Thursday and he was ordered to spend 90 days and to serve community service for 300 hours.

Lauren McDowell, the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney of Kauai County stated that 49 year old Lance Kerwin was caught with the possession of fake food stamps and state medical assistance stamps.

Lance Kerwin who is working as a pastor at Calvary Chapel in Kapaa stated that he already paid the amount of $21,822 as compensation.

Lance further stated that I am extremely sorry for what I did and I just want to minimize the damages to the feelings of people by issuing my apology statement.

Lance Kerwin further stated that he is well aware that his acts really hurt and affected the community, church members and his family and he said that he is very optimistic that his punishment can bring positive change in his life.

Lance Kerwin was born on 6th November 1960 and started his acting career as a child star in 1975. He left acting career in 1995 and focused on his religious beliefs. Lance Kerwin is also working with U turn for Christ on Kauai.
