A gunman identified as James J. Lee who took three Discovery Channel hostages under his custody at the building of the headquarters of Discovery Channel has been killed by the Police department after several attempts for the negotiation.

According to the reports, James J. Lee was shot to death after he took three hostages because he didn’t like few of the Discovery Channel programs like “Kate Plus 8” and some other environmental programs. The reason he told that the “Kate Plus 8” promotes population which he didn’t like and the environmental program was more of a promotional program for products than the environmental issues.

These two programs of Discovery Channel irritated the Lee in such a great way that he decided to take the extreme step by making three people as hostages.

It has been told that three Discovery Channel hostages were the employees of the company.

Two persons were from the communication department and one was the security guard. All the three Discovery Channel hostages moved out without any injury.

The Police department and investigating agencies tried their best to go into a negotiation with the hostile but even after several hours’ attempts, the force decided to step in after watching the hostile on the surveillance cameras having a gun pointed towards the Discovery Channel hostage.

According to the reports, the hostile was having two bags full of explosions and had his body covered with the explosive material. He told that he had bombs but luckily Police killed him and a robot dismantled the bombs from the site.
